It is easy to blame how we feel on others. It allows us to take the pressure of responsibility off for a while.

The problem with that is you have a choice in how you perceive what is happening. And when you realize you have a choice in what you make things mean, you realize you also have a choice in how you feel and how you respond.

The next time a person or situation “makes you” feel uncertain take a look at what you made about it, think, take time and then make up a more empowering meaning.
